Anyone Interested In My Books?

PostTue Jun 18, 2013 7:02 am

I know, I know. I posted these up on the old forum, but it's a new forum with new possibilities. I've written three novels (and despite all the music work, I'm editing the fourth as I have the time) and I've put a hell of a lot of work into each and every one of them. My work is not for everyone, as I tend to love words and some people, well... don't.

Nevertheless, here are the books with a PDF that you can read; since nobody buys them from Amazon. :)

Will's Downfall, Book One: Is It All In Your Head (2010)

The Tribulation Of Marcus (And Several Tales Of Utter Drivel) (2nd Quarter 2010)

Will's Downfall, Book Two: Why Did They Have To Ruin Such A Perfectly Good World? (2011)

PDF: http://www.mediafire.com/download/xv2rihjb0cbdhig/Will's_Downfall_Book_Two.pdf

Remember, years of work and editing were put into these and they've seen several edits since their original release. I'm in the process of re-editing for a complete Will's Downfall Saga compilation. Then I'm going to write about something else entirely.

I was actually interested in your first book at the time of the old forums.

Thanks, I appreciate that. Hope you like these.

EDIT: Let me amend this by saying anyone who doesn't like Will's Downfall needs to check out Tribulation Of Marcus. That's a novella and short story collection that offers a broader perspective of my work. Don't just start at WD1. It's my first novel after all. You can't expect the world from the first.

Honestly I am always interested in reading someone's work.

It may take me a while but I am going to attempt to read all of your books.

Would you like to discuss them and such on this thread or did you post just for sharing purposes?

I bookmarked this topic so please leave the links up.

Well, my books are very much a combination of ideas that I've read, discovered or just thought up one day. As far as authors, let's think of Will's Downfall as a slice of Hunter S. Thompson and Warren Ellis given the whimsy of Neil Gaiman and Terry Pratchett, with an injection of Steven King.

Clive Barker's influence pops up in some of my short stories. Particularly "Four Corners." I am open to discussion on any and all topics relating to my books. Don't understand something? Comment here and I'll get back to you.

Don't mean to really toot my own horn again, but I'm just curious as to how many of you have read my books and if so, what did you think? Please tell me the truth. If you hated it, say so.

I apologize for the formatting. I'm a man who prefers print novels, so I'm not the greatest at e-book formatting, hence why I've left the PDF's up for free. Although thank you for purchasing my work and I really hope you like it. WD is a sort of deranged love story, but it also plays with the mind in ways that other books do not. It was intended for younger audiences, but I've since wiped out that classification as the latter books got increasingly more adult, with the third being the most mature of them all. Only one guy has read the manuscript for that so far, but described it as "an unexpected ending." Which you may take anyway that you want. What's done is done, I now just have to get the work out there. Their tales have been told.

I also apologize for the first book, lol. Remember that it was written in 2010 and I'm ironing out the novel for it's eventual inclusion in one large volume along with the second and forthcoming third release. I really want to write about something else, so I'm trying to just get the books out there and get them out there correctly. I don't believe in rushing material, I've edited those books probably close to ten times each prior.
